Blogs New Wedding Gallery Added

9-22-08 Monday

I added my first image gallery to the website today. It was a wedding I shot in mid May before I got my new equipment. I shot this wedding with a very slow zoom lens but it was the best I had at the time. It didn’t allow me to do a lot of shooting in low light without using a flash.

Now I have fast lens that allow me to shoot more in low light situations without having to use as much flash, so the quality of future images shot at weddings will be improved.

Since this is the first gallery I formated and uploaded myself to the site I kept it small, only 21 images total. But I am planning a little reorganizing of the galleries page. Turning the current gallery page more into a master gallery index page. I have talked with Matt about this and how to go about it, so look for this change in the near future. New weddings will be posted on a separate weddings gallery page and the weddings will be broken down into “before, during, and after” with a maximum 21 images in each gallery. Matt and I feel this will keep the image galleries much more manageable and user friendly, rather than you having to sift through 40, 60, 80 images in one large gallery, you can look at just the gallery you are interested in with a maximum of 21 images to go through.

This will also allow me to upload images as I get them finished in the post production phase.

Thanks to Kari and Shawn for allowing me to be part of their special day. It was a lot of fun.

I will be shooting a wedding this Saturday September 27th, Lea and Anson’s wedding. I am looking foreword to being a part of their day and very excited about it. I have spoken with the bride a lot and she is a real sweet heart of a lady.

Keep an eye out in the news and blogs for when I start getting those images posted.

Also please feel free to sign up for the new RSS feed that Matt has running on the site now. It will automatically notify you of new changes to site. Matt has it linked to the news section of the site so everytime I add a fresh news item the RSS will notifiy you.

Thanks,

Troy
